250 sqm
12 x HC40 and 32 x HC50 Heliocol Collectors
In April 2015, Heliocol South Australia, was awarded the contract from the Tatiara District Council, to replace the old style rubber matting solar pool heating collectors at the Bordertown Public Swimming Pool.
The spacious Bordertown Swimming Pool is a popular local attraction open mid November through mid March. It offers numerous swimming programs for adults and children.
Heliocol South Australia replaced the existing rubber matting (which had damaged some of the roof materials, due to many leaks) with Heliocol solar panel collectors.
Three separate roof areas were used to mount the 44 solar panels. This required the solar return and feed PVC lines to be plumbed in series and parallel to ensure correct water flow rates.
The existing solar pump and controller were both in working order, so there was no need for the Council to spend extra money on new ones.
The new Heliocol solar panel collectors, have a 25 year warranty, so the Council can be assured of many years of trouble-free solar heating.
The project was designed and overseen by Heliocol South Australian Distributor Wayne Greenhill with assistance from Solar Consultant Barton Sundqvist.
